For much of the Indian diaspora, the food of home is a map of memory — and somewhere on that map, between the chaat stall and the ice-cream parlour, sits a mall-food-court name that a generation grew up on: Mad Over Donuts. Now the brand is adding a new flavour to that memory, and for once it isn't sweet.

Mad Over Donuts says it has expanded its menu with a new range of savoury Pops — bite-sized snacks that sit alongside its signature donuts. The company describes flavours "ranging from creamy and cheesy to smoky, spicy and fiery," pitched at the moment when a craving refuses to pick a side.

The line-up runs to five seasonings, each box holding ten pops, and the names lean into the brand's cheeky voice:

  • Mild Flirt — Sour Cream & Onion
  • Hot Mess — Peri-Peri
  • Medium Rare-ly Sorry — Smoky Cheese
  • Ex on Fire — Jamaican Jerk
  • Last Text Before Block — Ghost Chilli

Each variant, the company says, "delivers a burst of flavour with every bite," and the idea is that you climb the ladder from mild to fiery at your own pace — "you can choose your level of madness," as the brand puts it.

"Donuts remain the heart of Mad Over Donuts, and that isn't changing. But we also know that when it comes to snacking, cravings don't really pick a side — you want something sweet one moment and something spicy the next, sometimes in the same sitting. We wanted the entire range from Sweet to Spicy available right here at Mad Over Donuts. With Savoury Pops, we're taking that same commitment to bold flavour and building an entirely new category for the brand — because we want to take snacking to a whole new level," said Tarak Bhattacharya, CEO, Mad Over Donuts.

The savoury Pops are available now, in store and on online delivery aggregators, across Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore and Delhi, priced at ₹79 per variant.

For readers abroad, it is the kind of small, specific thing that makes a trip home feel like home: a familiar counter with something new on it. File it under reasons to plan the next snack run in India — or to send the craving, in a message, to the family who can beat you to it.
