Bhavesh ‘Bob’ Patel to lead Sempra Infrastructure
The former LyondellBasell chief takes the helm of the US energy company as it heads into a major ownership change involving KKR.

Bhavesh "Bob" Patel has been named incoming chief executive of Sempra Infrastructure, the US energy company, as it prepares for a major ownership change involving the investment firm KKR, the American Bazaar reported. Patel, who previously ran the chemicals giant LyondellBasell, is expected to expand the company's liquefied-natural-gas, renewables and energy-export operations. His appointment lengthens an already long roster of Indian-American executives running major US corporations — a list that now reaches well beyond Silicon Valley into energy, pharmaceuticals and manufacturing.
